LATTAFA KHAMRAH

Khamrah opens with cinnamon, nutmeg and a squeeze of bergamot, then moves into a sweet, syrupy heart of dates, praline and tuberose. A base of vanilla, tonka bean, amberwood, myrrh and benzoin turns it warm and resinous, like spiced dessert served beside smouldering incense.

It is generous in every sense: strong projection, long wear and a trail people remember. Wear it in the cooler months or in air-conditioned evenings, and keep to two sprays; in Dhaka's summer heat, more than that becomes overwhelming.
